Well, we had five riders (Barb, Boz, Ryan, Todd, Dan) brave the windy weather today with a ride down into the Chesterfield Valley. We didn't seem to get enough head wind going down so we decided to get on top of the Chesterfield Monarch levee for a full dose of cross winds but we did go the direction that created a nice tail wind which helped our average speed by about 7-10 mph. You could basically sit without pedalling and get about 6-8 mph speed. Todd, Ryan and Barb did about 15 miles. Ryan was preparing for a 24 mile run tomorrow, Todd had a triathlon tomorrow and Barb was first time out on the bike for the season (ouch). Dan went on to do 27 miles checking out some possible new road ride routes and Boz, well, he may still be out there riding.
Hope to see the rest of you out there soon and possibly on Sunday, May 4 at Ghisallo for the MS kick-off ride.

Mogman is up and connected! Cool. Sorry I missed your call. I ended up staying down in the valley and doing loops for another hour and then hightailed it home. I think I got in just under 50 miles. Tomorrow morning I think I'm on the bike at 530am for another 50 miles. Then a recovery week. Good seeing you again.
Way to go Boz! I would join you in the AM but doing the kick-off ride (36 miles) instead. Safe riding.
